Book Sales at the Library

​Friends of Brighton Memorial Library Book Sales are held three times a year in our Friends' Learning Center. Watch this page and social media sites for information about upcoming sales, which are held in February, June, and October.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO DONATE ITEMS FOR THE BOOK SALES?

The Friends of BML welcomes material donations throughout the year with the exception of a handful of days surrounding each sale. Donations are limited to five boxes or bags (17"x12"x8" or smaller) per day, and that the boxes/bags weigh no more than 35 pounds each. Please give your donation(s) to a staff member. Do not deposit it/them in our indoor or outdoor book drops. Note: We cannot accept item donations from the Friday before a sale through the Friday after a sale.

BML accepts the following in good condition*:

Books for children, young adults & adults

Audiobooks

CDs & DVDs

General Interest Magazines from the last 12 months (not news or current events magazines)

Textbooks (up to five years old)

 

BML cannot accept the following:

Damp, musty, dirty, or damaged books

Records, VHS or cassette tapes

Encyclopedias

Homemade recordings

 

*Items not in resale ready condition will be refused
